Dr. Jeff Vogel comes to us from White Plains, NY.  He attended Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2005.  He then completed a two-year residency at Cornell from 2006-2008 and studied under two world-renowned dermatology clinicians.  

Before joining SNHVRH, Dr. Vogel practiced as the sole dermatologist at specialty practices in both Syracuse and Rochester, NY.  Dr. Vogel prides himself on his ability to critically think through a case with a "Sherlockian" approach and is very well prepared with pattern recognition (clinically, cytologically, etc.).  He particularly likes working with autoimmune disorders (pemphigus), parasitic disease (demodicosis) and recurrent pyoderma.  The latter ties in with an appreciation for underlying endcrinopathies and hypersensitivity disorders (mostly atopic dermatitis).  Dr. Vogel also enjoys performing skin biopsies since site selection and proper tissue handling maximize the value of dermatopathology.
