Our 32,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility ensures that our team has the resources needed to offer you the highest levels of quality and advanced care. The hospital offers on-site MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and advanced treatments such as neurosurgery, cataract and glaucoma surgery and much more.
This facility is also home to the Veterinary Emergency Center of Manchester (VECM), which provides 24-Hour Emergency Services and has been in the community for over 20 years. We have partnered with, and work in conjunction with their experienced emergency medical team to offer New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts a full service facility that provides ER and referral services under one roof. The VECM team employs experienced emergency veterinarians and has been designated as a Level II Emergency and Critical Care Center certified by the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS). They are the first facility in New Hampshire and currently one of only 19 facilities in the country to achieve this designation. Our strength lies in these separate businesses coming together and working towards an ideal model of a referral hospital for New Hampshire.
The advanced imaging options provided at our hospital, including MRI, digital radiography, and ultrasound with tissue doppler and echocardiography are vital in the diagnosis and management of a variety of conditions. Digital radiographs can be accessed on-line via email or they can be provided on a disc. Our additional cardiac diagnostics and monitoring include Holter monitoring and telemetry.
The Surgery suites at The Southern NH Veterinary Referral Hospital are outfitted with the most advanced tools and methods to perform procedures not available in most veterinary clinics. Our fiberoptic system is used by our surgeons for many video endoscope procedures including laparoscopic, thorascopic and arthroscopic surgeries that greatly minimize recovery time.
Our dedicated physical therapy area and agility training & assessment course is part of our Canine Sports Medicine department, which will soon provide patients with the use of hydrotherapy (water submersed treadmill), dry treadmill and more along with our current services of acupuncture, laser therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, hot and cold therapy and massage.
